Thank You For Coming

Durational performance.

Desk, computer, chair, sign-up sheets, individually made Yes/No buttons, plexiglas box, vinyl, table, hot-foiled pencil, string, ballots.

As they entered the gallery and signed up at the desk, each visitor was given a paper ballot to vote on whether or not they think this thesis exhibition was worth getting an MFA degree. For the duration of the exhibition, the artist was present during gallery hours. Using the sign-up sheet from the day before, she sent an email to each visitor, to thank them for coming to her exhibition. The votes were counted on the last day of the exhibition.
